Sea, Sun and Science is an annual event held during the July vacation period that mixes educational and fun activities, making it a marine science experience with a difference. This highly successful vacation programme is the first of its kind in Tobago and offers an exceptional educational experience in an informal but stimulating environment. Approximately 100 participants (from Tobago and Trinidad) have benefited from Sea, Sun and Science since its inception in July 2002.

Objectives

• Promote an understanding of and appreciation for coastal ecosystems and their processes
• Develop analytical, observational and critical-thinking skills and a spirit of inquiry that will encourage stewardship of coastal environments
• Provide an unforgettable environmental experience through exposure to various activities.
